quality - beautiful eyes, smart boy
quantity - one pencil, two balls, three bats

Degrees of comparison
Form of adjectives change as we start comparing.
When we describe about a single person, it is positive degree.
Example: happy, beautiful, clever
When we use adjectives to compare two people then it is comparative degree.
So the word- happy becomes happier , beautiful becomes more beautiful
When we used the adjectives to compare more than two people then that is called superlative degree.
Happy becomes happiest
Beautiful becomes most beautiful
