Adjectives are words that describe the nouns or pronouns. We can identify adjectives based on these

colour               - Blue sky , red pencil box
size                    - Tall trees, short man
quality              - beautiful eyes, smart boy
quantity           - one pencil, two balls, three bats
Origin               - Indian temple, Japanese shirt

 Stacy looked beautiful in the pink dress.

They are driving in their new red car which looks quite big.

She is  beautiful and intelligent too.

The new Maths teacher is a  nice person.

Degrees of comparison

Form of adjectives change as we start comparing.

When we describe about a single person, it is positive degree.
Example: happy, beautiful, clever

When we use adjectives to compare two people then it is comparative degree.
So the word-  happy becomes happier , beautiful becomes more beautiful

When we used the adjectives to compare more than two people then that is called superlative degree.
Happy becomes happiest
Beautiful becomes most beautiful
